The exhibition “Masks and Signs” by leather artist Gražina Kuprevičienė consists of two segments: original works of art – a collection of leather masks and 12 embossed leather paintings from the cycle “ZODIAC”, which is accompanied by the music of the cycle “Zodiac glow” created by composer Giedrius Kuprevičius in 1986.
A sound system specially designed for the exhibition will allow viewers to listen to the music of each painting separately, and on the opening day of the exhibition – April 11 at 3 p.m. – composer Giedrius Kuprevičius will perform the music of the cycle live on the piano and the accompanying 1988 phonogram, currently stored in the Lithuanian Radio Music Recording Archive.
